Once again, the Starlight City Brewing Company is hosting its Starlight City Market event, where each and every patron is encouraged to don their ugliest Christmas sweater in the spirit of the season. This one-of-a-kind holiday market will take place on Friday, Dec. 20 from 5-9 p.m. The event will feature handmade goods from local vendors, live music and food.
“Holiday shopping doesn’t have to be a stressful, hectic affair,” said Justin Kohnen, the owner of Star City Brewing Company. “We invite everyone to check out our Starlight City Market for a fun, stress-free shopping experience that also supports local artisans.”
Though the event features a plethora of local artisans and talent, the real stars of the show will be the ugly Christmas sweaters. At 8 p.m., a contest will take place to determine the ugliest Christmas sweater at the market. The winner of this ugly Christmas sweater contest will receive a $25 gift card to Star City Brewing Company.

Even if you don’t wear an ugly Christmas sweater, there are still other opportunities to win prizes.
“We want to do everything we can to support our community’s artisans, so we’re challenging attendees to visit every single vendor,” Kohnen continued. “Everyone who visits all vendors at the market will be entered to win a free party room rental at the brewery. That’s a $300 value!”
Aside from partaking in an ugly Christmas sweater contest and local holiday shopping, visitors to the Starlight City Market can also look forward to musical performances by Seth Canan of Seth Canan & the Carriers (on stage from 6-8 p.m.) and Max Nunery of The Repeating Arms (on stage from 8:30-10:30 p.m.).
